"100+ Auto-Installing Software Titles For Your Web Site"
|
When running Control Panel on your server, it will check the Document Root (user ID and group ID) against the username ID and group ID in your passwd and shadow files. So you must call the program from the proper domain name on your server for each login name. For example, if you are running an Apache web server and your httpd.conf contains:
<VirtualHost controlpanelsoftware.com> ServerName controlpanelsoftware.com ServerAlias www.controlpanelsoftware.com DocumentRoot /path/to/web/site </VirtualHost>
and your username and group are: user1 and group1, then the directory site from /path/to/web/site must have the same username and group: user1 and group1
Then to login, you must call control.cgi from http://www.controlpanelsoftware.com/cgi-bin/control.cgi
